REVIEW | KYLIE JENNER LIP KITS

Happy Birthday to me!!
It was my birthday Monday and I was lucky enough to get these Kylie Jenner lip kits which I have wanted to get my hands on for so long. It was such an unexpected gift and I absolutely love them so far. The lip kits come with a matte liquid lipstick and lip liner and you can purchase them from the link below, they retail for $29 which is around £21 without postage, which is a pretty reasonable price compared to some of the other liquid lipsticks I have. My lovely boyfriend clearly listens to me go on and on as he got the shades right - I have 'Candy K' and 'Dolce K' which were the ones I wanted to try the most. Before going on to talk about the products and shades themselves can we just admire the packaging for a moment? Packaging alone they win for me. They come in a glossy box with the lip shade on the front as the picture above demonstrates, beautiful.

I swatched the matte liquid lipsticks along with the lip liners so you can see how they look. They are so creamy and the colours are gorgeous. You can see from the picture that the two are very similar in shades, however 'Candy K' is slightly lighter and more pink. I was quite surprised with the shades as they wasn't what I was expecting, by this I mean that on the box for 'Dolce K' it states that it should be more browny looking while it is actually more of a pinky peach, nevertheless they are still gorgeous shades. One issue I have with the matte liquid lipsticks is that they are really really dry once they dry on your lips and this is okay until you have to wipe them off when you take your makeup off and it feels like you're ripping your skin off -  my lips felt so sore after trying to get the colour off, in a way them being so sticking is a good thing as they will stay on your lips all day no matter how much you rub them. I also done the water test whereby after swatching the shades I put water on them and rubbed and they didn't come off so you know they'll stay. Just be prepared when you take them off. The two liners also match the liquid lipsticks well and really made my lips look nice and plump, the liners aren't matte but are more glossy so they make your lips pop more.

CANDY K

DOLCE K
you can see from the pictures that they are very similar but 'candy k' is just a bit lighter. I would definitely recommend these shades to anyone who loves pinks/light nudes and who can handle a bit of scrubbing of the lips. xoxo

RECIPE | OREO BROWNIES

I love to bake in my spare time but I never made brownies before today so I thought I'd give it ago, instead of just normal chocolate brownies I gave it a twist and added oreos but you could add any chocolate you want to.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 150g butter
  • 250g caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 100g plain flour
  • pack of Oreos
  • grease prof paper
  • brownie tin
  • weighing scales
  • big bowl
METHOD
  1. preheat the oven to around 180 degrees ( gas mark 5)
  2. lay the brownie tin with grease prof paper ready for the mixture
  3. melt the dark chocolate and butter in the microwave - stop every so often and stir
  4. once the chocolate and butter is melted together add the caster sugar and stir
  5. add the 3 eggs and stir again
  6. then add the plain flour and stir all together
  7. cut up half the pack of oreos and add to the mixture, mixing them in
  8. pour the mixture into the tin and place in the oven for 30-45 minutes
(to check if the brownie is cooked through use a knife and push it through the middle, if it comes out with gooey mixture on it then its not done)

once the brownie is done you can cut into squares and enjoy hot with ice cream or you can let it cool if preferred.

THE MAKING OF HARRY POTTER | WARNER BROS. STUDIO

So at the weekend me and my boyfriend got to go to Harry Potter studios and we were both like little kids because we LOVE Harry Potter. These photos pretty much speak for themselves in the fact that they are so amazing and vivid, I was so excited to see the actual props that were used and where some of Harry Potter was filmed. As soon as you walk in there are lots to see and the Great Hall along with Diagon Alley was my favourites and our visit was made extra special as the Sorting hat which they used in the film to sort Harry and the others into their houses was there for only a week or two and we got to see it. This place was so magical and I would recommend it to every Harry Potter fan and I mean if you're not a Harry Potter fan then what are you doing with your life. My big kid of a boyfriend even got a Voldemort wand and I got a Gryffindor mug because GRYFFINDOR ALL THE WAY! And I am a crazy collector of tea cups, my cupboard is full of all different ones. Enjoy these photos and definitely go if you get the chance.
